Your thoughts on a marine historical society for Newfoundland/Labrador
What is Eastwaters?
Eastwaters is an online magazine about the maritime heritage of the island of Newfoundland and its mainland region of Labrador. Its purpose is to inform interested readers of the history and cultures that have existed along the coasts and shorelines of Canada's easternmost province. In 2008 the website was re-focused to meet this goal, and to additionally encourage the establishment of a marine historical society in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Feedback
This province is a huge area and we want to cover the marine heritage of its faraway corners and well as its more familiar and populated places. We welcome your comments and suggestions. Contributions of ideas, articles and illustrations are also invited, but please email us first if you have something to submit. Reading matter may be edited as necessary for clarity and conciseness.
